Agenda
- Tomorrow is "Walk & Roll Day" where students and staff members in the GSSD are invited to use an active method of transportation for which to get to school. Town students can walk, ride their bike, or rollerblade from home instead of getting a ride to school. Bus students can walk to KCI from Victoria School if their bus stops there first.
• Moderate physical activity reduces the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure
and stroke.
• Physical activity improves vigour, self-esteem and a sense of well-being.
Furthermore:
• Health Canada reports that only 27% of Canadians achieve health benefits
from enough daily physical activity.
• According to Transport Canada, the number of cars per 1000 Canadians has
doubled since 1960; distances driven and frequency of trips have steadily increased.
- KCI is having a BBQ on June 12th. Order forms went home yesterday and are due to Mrs. Schwartz (or the office) on Friday, June 6th.
- Spelling quiz on Friday
